Golden was a tomato farmer and family resided on Powers Ferry Rd, Atlanta. He was found dead in his automobile with a pistol by his side. Pronounced suicide. He had been married less than a year to the widow of a Deputy Sheriff, of Fulton County.

Eunice had been married before to a Duputy policeman of Fulton County, who had died. She had been married less than a year before Golden had been found in his automobile, shot to death. Fulton County police pronounced it suicide.
