General Notes (Husband)
CSA - Joe joined CSA 1861 and was in Company "L", 3rd Georgia Regiment. He served four years in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg, shot thru the body with a minnie ball and lay on the battle field for hours before the Union bearers took him to their hospital. After months in the hospital, he was sent to prison at "Point Lookout". Months later was released in a prisoner exchange.
