Census 1860 listed Henry W. Shelnutt, age 53, Monroe, Walton Co, Georgia.
Most of Henry's sons were involved with the Georgia National Guards of Walton Co.
and many made promotions as they joined the Civil War. -- Several children lived in Broken Arrow, Walton Co, GA.
Note-- Gwinnett Co History---Listed Henry married to Jane Hightower with children: Curtis, Frank, Crocket and Mathew.--unable to confirm. This could account for Emma
born 1855, listed in 1860 Walton Co, Census, (mother 'Jane')..

Cyrus was wounded in the 'Battle of Vicksburg'. He died while being moved and was buried in a mass grave of Union / & CSA / soldiers, in / Clarksville, / Enterprise, Clarke Co, MS. --- Cyrus spelled "Syrus" 1860c Suwanee (PO), Gwinnett Co, GA.
NOTE----- A REUNION is held on Saturday, each year near Valentine Day.
In 2002 is was on Feb. 16th.

Andrew was in Goodwins, Gwinnett Co, GA 1880c. Henry Jackson, son, and daughter Silvie are buried with him. Also Grady (unknown). No dates on these three graves.
Gwinnett County History - page 588 -gives two sons: Harold and Esco who married Eunice Blackstock. -Also list Curtis, b. 1836 Walton Co, & married Elizabeth Black.
Curtis was son of Henry (third son of David) and Jane Hightower, who had following
children: Curtis, 1836, Frank, Crocket, and Mathew. (Unable to locate info on Crocket
or Mathew Shelnut or Shelnutt.) (info from Gwinnett County History, by Calvin Doster
Shelnutt, cousin, who knew they had gone to Kentucky)

Listed Albert E., (should be Robert E. age 2) born Kentucky -- Henry was also born Kentucky but the family returned to Georgia before 1880 census Gwinnett County GA.
