Mrs. Olivia L. Shelnutt's Funeral set for Sunday.
Funeral services for Mrs Olivia L. Shelnutt, who died Friday, at the age of 97, will be held at 3PM at the Chapel of Awtry & Lowndes. The Rev. Harrison McMaine will officiate. Burial will be at Cross Roads Cemetery, on the Mt. Vernon Highway.
Active Until--the last several years despite her 97 years, Mrs Shelnutt was known to her friends for her cheerful disposition.She spent her time Crocheting Centerpieces for her friends, and reading her Bible with a large magnifying glass. Friends say she was always joking and laughing, and until several years ago, frequently entertained them by doing a little dance. She was proud of the fact that she was an expert Square Dancer in her day. Born in Walton County, and spent her childhood days there, then moved to Atlanta as a young woman. She was a child during the Civil War, and frequently related tales of it to her friends.
Her Husband---W. T. Shelnutt was a dairyman in Atlanta before his death.
Her only survivers are: a daughter-in-law, Mrs Eunice Shelnutt of Atlanta; a niece, Mrs H.R. Callaway of Columbus; a nephew, T.W. Lyons of New York City; and a g-son H.B. Heard of Atlanta.

Golden was a tomato farmer and family resided on Powers Ferry Rd, Atlanta. He was found dead in his automobile with a pistol by his side. Pronounced suicide. He had been married less than a year to the widow of a Deputy Sheriff, of Fulton County.
