Went fishing and drowned in Coosa River in Floyd Co, May 29, 1954.

Death Cert. #008453. Louise died of cancer at Kennestone Hospital, Marietta and was buried by Gene Davis Funeral Home, Lithia Springs, at Greenwood Cemetery, Atlanta, GA. Louise had one sister Doris Tanner Lessard, who was in Michigan, and four brothers, Bob, Frank, Joe and Leonard Tanner. Leonard died of a massive heart attack. Her mother, Nettie Tanner born Oct 25, 1897 is living, age 102, (Dec 1999, good health), in Nursing Home, Austell, GA. Louise's father , Joseph Jackson Tanner, Jun 10, 1886, Gwinnett County, died in 1970 in Atlanta, and buried by Dillon Funeral Home, Pryor St., Atlanta, (now closed). "Bob" B.H. Tanner Sr. (only surviving brother) born Feb 27, 1930, had a "Stroke", Decem ber 1998, but remembers very well. He and family reside in Douglas Co., Ph 770 949 9850. (Note -- Bob died 2003)
