C.C. Shelnut, Sr. Spartanburg, SC
Charles Crawford Shelnut, Sr, 57, of Bolling Springs Rd., died Monday morning
Feb 15 in a rest home here. He had been sick for the past year and critically ill for three months.
He was born in Jackson County, GA, a son of the late William and Lena Holcombe S Shelnut. He was a member of the Open Bible Church and the Woodmen of the World. He was associated with his wife in operating nursing homes.
Surving are his wife, Mrs. Mary ella Shelnut; a son, Charles C. Shelnut, Jr of Spartanburg; a daughter, Mrs. James P. Wadell of Spartanburg; two brothers: Albert
Shelnut of Commerce, GA and Arthur Shelnut of Miami, Fla.; a sister Mrs. Walter Sailors of Homer, GA and three grandchildren.
Funeral plans will be announced by M.W. Bobo Funeral chapel. the body is at the funeral home.
