In 1900 Henry and Sallie had her dad (Robert), mother (Mary ), and two sisters, Belle Neely (1857) and Margaret Neely ( 1868) within the home. Henry died at age 84 (from Death Cer t. # C-25755 Fulton Co). The 1880 census Campbell Co gives age six and name as "Dickee" Shelnut (b1874) The 1900c gives Henry born Mar 1875 and Sallie born Apr 1874.
The 1910c Campbellton, Campbell Co, list Richard H. "Shellmet", wrong by Record Researchers), age 36, married once, 14 years, with 11 children, 8 lviing.
Baby Shellnut, not yet named Albert Alexander. Sallie A. age 38, married once.
The 1920c gives age as 52 (1868). Lora Stanley g-daughter age 6 months in home.

Sallie was listed with family 1880 census, age 8, assisted on farm. A friend and
playmate (Vivian Peevy) stated that "Sallie" was a nickname, her name was Tabitha
Ann Neely. Sallie was married 1900 census. She and Henry lived Cornell Section of
Fulton Co. in 1920 census. Her son, Looney was killed by a train near there. The
1920 census and Georgia Death list her birth in 1867. Other records list birth as
April 1, 1871 and 1874. Her statement to family was "I am one year older that Henry".
Henry was born in 1874.

Shellnutt, daughter, Mrs.Geraldine Phipps, Maples, Fl.; son, W. C. Shellnutt, Duluth, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Stanley and Mrs. Elizabeth A. Pye, Decatur; brother R.N. Shellnutt, Forest Park; six grandchildren, two G-grandchildren. Services 2 PM Saturday at South Bend United Methodist Church, Rev John Giglio & Rev. Carl Standard officiating. Interment at Roseland Cemetery by Herschel McDaniel, Fairburn, GA."
Note--Roseland Cemetery, Cleveland Ave.(at I-85) is in sorrowful state. It has been reported to the State, and property was sold to man in Tennesee. They are attempting to contact him (2001) and get the place cleaned and other arragements made.

Shorty's feet froze and they amputated one leg before death . The family nickname was "Baldy". Shorty served in US Navy during WW II and his wife died shortly after the war. Shorty never married again. Shorty was listed 1930 census (only child home) 19 years of age, (1911) single, living in the Cornell section (Jonesboro Rd) Fulton County.
(Brother Lonnie born 1909, died 1928, age 19).
This Genealogy started as small amount of history to commemorate "Shorty". He and daughters were the only ones to start with. Each person added, made me want to research more. Only knew Shorty for a year (1969-1970). He spent some time with his g-daughter "Donna Lynn Patterson, and assisted with a 'Roof Cleaning' business, etc. He was a friend to be proud of.
