General Notes (Husband)
Hampton's father came to High Shoals area after death of his wife in 1904. He brought five sons and three daughters. Hampton was the Post Master, member of the School Board, Deacon in the church and Treasurer of High Shoals Baptist Church. He co-owned, then owned a General Merchandise store. He extended credit in 1928, when the High Shoals Manufacturing Company burned.
